The Burned By Blue effect in abandoned blue kitchens
In 1993 I created an accident that took place in an abandoned kitchen that was blue, using the metaphor of scientific processes and logic, to create fictive realities about the reproduction of invented bacteria. The vibration of the blue color triggered the mutation of bacteria existing inside organic leftovers, from micro to macroscopic. The investigation evolved until today when a deep relation between human kitchen inhabitants and these specific bacteria was discovered. I present my work through videos, photos, installations where the kitchens are re-enacted or performances in the shape of conferences or documentation.
